昨夜、たまたまテレビで「直撃！シンソウ坂上」を見た。
GACKT 大豪邸生活支える“巨額ビジネス”明かすといった内容で、マレーシアで不動産業を手がけ、世界の富裕層に高級物件を提供しているという。
興味深いのは、将来CDが売れない時代がやってくる。音楽だけでは稼げなく、お金を稼ぐためのビジネスを始めたということ。
音楽業界を席巻したシンガーソングライターにあってもCDが売れなくなると見越して手を打っていたのかと改めて驚かされた。
日本の音楽業界は、レコードビジネスを柱に展開してきたと思うが、 レコード産業に依存した音楽ビジネスは成立しなくなったようだ。
アーティストや楽曲のタイプによって戦略は違ってくるが、ステージで稼ぐことが柱になるであろう。
今の状況では通信カラオケの著作権料とか、YouTubeでの再生回数が増えても歌い手には印税が入る事がない。
今後、この業界では歌い手にお金が流れる仕組みを作らないと、秀逸な歌手を輩出することが難しくなると思われる。
